Woolston & District Horticultural Society Annual Show

The Woolston & District Horticultural Society held their 34th Annual Show in the Main Marquee at Woolston Park on Sunday 4th September. It was a lovely day, the sun shone and due to the hard work of The Friends of Woolston Park there was plenty to entertain the children and adults alike.
Our show was well supported with plenty of produce, crafts, bakery and other categories shown. We would like to thank all these people for their support, as we are all aware of the time and effort it takes to prepare the produce for the show.
Congratulations to Shirley Edwards who again won the James Potter Cup for most points in the Flower & Vegetable categories, along with numerous other trophies. Unfortunately for Ken Rawlinson he again missed this award by a very narrow margin.
We would especially like to thank all the local businesses (listed below) who supported us by donating the prizes for our raffle. The money raised is used to cover expenses and will ensure that the show can continue in the future.

You can become a member of our society for a small annual fee of £4.00 or a concessionary rate of £2.50. If you would like to join call in at the Trading Hut,
which is at the rear of the Woolston Hub, it is open on Thursdays from 6pm-7pm.
